Honestly only one of my beloved sci fi stories has ever been turned into a movie that isn't making the author actively roll over in their grave. I thought I, Robot with Will Smith was VERY well done. Especially since it was based off a short story and a lot of it had nothing to do with the story - the point is there though. Asimov's feel is there. I was fond of it.

Heinlein not only "filed off the serial numbers" he wrote under other names as to not besmirch the Heinlein name as he unloaded fluff and hack work. This is something I completely approve of. If you are writing to make a living then do whatever it takes!
